BAR & GRILL
Queens opened in summer 2018 in one of Bury’s oldest free houses. The premises had been left empty for a number of years before being taken over by a local restaurateur, owner of Ben’s Restaurant just up the road.
Queens offers an American inspired menu, consisting of grilled & smoked meats, a selection of their creative burgers and vegetarian options. Everything is homemade including the freshly baked brioche buns, handmade burger patties, desserts, sauces and even the gherkins!
Smokey flavor isn’t an issue, as the only authentic smoke house in town, the chefs use charcoal and apple wood chips to cook their baby back ribs, beef brisket, chicken and pulled pork ‘low n slow’. The meat is all ethically sourced, including local Free Range Blythburgh pork, East Anglian beef and British Free Range chicken.
It isn’t just about the food at Queens. The quirky bar hosts an extensive list of cocktails and spirits, which includes weekly guest gins and sometimes, themed drinks. There is a lovely selection of carefully chosen wines, craft beers and local real ales, so I’m sure there’s something to wet your whistle!
If you want to play, the games room hosts a table tennis and pool table, and there are board games free to use in the main bar.
Queens is dog friendly, has a delightful courtyard garden and hosts regular events such as live music & quiz nights, so delay no further and visit now!
